Work Visa C3 for Companies with 100% Foreign Ownership
Leave your contact details and we will get back to you.
There are several ways to legally employ foreign specialists. To apply for a work visa, you can use the standard procedure for obtaining a work permit, or, in certain cases, go through a simplified procedure provided for by exceptions in the legislation. In this article, we will consider one of the most popular simplified registration options — for the first heads of Kazakhstani legal entities and their deputies, if the company is 100% owned by foreign founders.
The main criteria for attracting foreign specialists under the simplified scheme
Conditions for obtaining a C3 category work visa under a simplified procedure
The position of a specialist should belong to the first category, that is, it should be executive. The organization's charter should specify that, for example, the head is the Director, CEO, Executive Director, etc. Deputy heads (finance, economics, etc.) also fall into the first category if such a structure is prescribed in the Charter.
The company must have full (100%) foreign participation, meaning that only foreign citizens should act as founders. This condition is mandatory for an LLP. If we are talking about a branch or representative office, then the simplified procedure applies only to the first managers, but not to their deputies.
Extension of the C3 visa
You can extend your visa without leaving Kazakhstan. Documents should be submitted no later than 30 working days before the end of the current visa.

To extend it, you must:
  • Updated letter of 100% foreign participation.
  • It is recommended to start the process 2 months before the end of the visa.
  • The deadline for submitting documents is 5 working days before the expiration of the current visa.
If the deadline is missed, you will have to leave the country and start the process all over again.
